« on: December 03, 2018, 07:15:39 PM »
So for those that did not know the first weekend of December is global fat bike day. Here  in good old Wales we did a camp and beach ride on the amazing Anglesey coast line on Newborough... A great couple of days despite the wind.

So I was going to do a bike ride and camp but the weather forecast could not make its mind up last week one saying sunshine and the other said snow. So not wanting to take a chance of getting stuck in a tent with a blizzard I decided to go for plan B where I cycle up Conwy and beyond for a day on the steed. The weather was pretty good with some great views and even found a good place to camp next year. Despite being disappointed in not camping I had a fantastic day.

So being slightly old and slightly more over weight my down hill days are long past me and tend to go for chilled out bike rides with some pretty nice views. So I decided to do Holyhead mountain in Wales and must say I enjoyed and did another little video to show my day. Nothing epic no big jumps or speeds that make me soil myself  Just me and my fatbike and some awesome (in my opinion) views

Ride Reports, Pics And Videos / Corrour Scotland

So living in Wales which is great for mountain biking I decided to have a change so headed to Corrour in Scotland for a couple of days which is about as remote as you can get. First night I went to Meanach Bothy past Loch Treig which was a tough ride made worse by horse flies but was made up with some stunning views. I did not see a soul that day after leaving the station. 2nd day I went back to the train station and went round Loch Ossian. The weather started and ended wet which got rid of the horse flies but was replaced by midges. Despite the bites it was a a great short break. Done a small vid and excuse the bad talking at the beginning  but I enjoyed doing it so hope a few enjoy watching it.

OK so this to me was a bit of a epic one (in my opinion anyway) Me and and a friend started in Llanberis and headed up Dinorwic quarry an amazing place filled with a lot of history which I love (geeky I know) over 250 years old and it closed back  in 1969 but covers over 700 aches   the weather was perfect and not a breath of wind as we set up camp and chilled with some whisky and wine  As we chilled I could imagine what a place it would have been to work and how hard it must have been to be there. A quick ride down the next day finished off a epic couple of days. So did a video which does little to show how cool this place is.
